Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to direct bookings made on hongsauresorts.com and paid online. Bookings made through travel agents or other platforms follow that platform's own policy.

1. Refund schedule

The refund you receive depends on how far ahead of your check-in date you cancel. Check-in is at 1:00 PM, and the windows below are measured against that time.

Refund amounts are calculated on the total amount paid (which is inclusive of GST).

2. How to cancel

To cancel or modify a booking, contact us with your booking reference (shown on your confirmation):

The cancellation is effective from the time we receive your request.

3. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through our payment partner, Razorpay. Once initiated, refunds typically reflect within 5–7 business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.

4. No-shows and early check-out

  • No-shows (failure to arrive without prior cancellation) are not eligible for any refund.
  • Early check-out / unused nights after arrival are not refundable.

5. Date changes

We are happy to try to accommodate date changes subject to availability. A change of dates may carry a rate difference, which will be communicated before the change is confirmed.

6. Force majeure

If a stay cannot proceed due to events beyond reasonable control (e.g. extreme weather, landslides, or government restrictions — not uncommon in the Western Ghats), we will work with you to reschedule or offer a stay credit where a cash refund is not possible.
